Whats on my needles (and hooks!) at the moment

Pudding and pie blanket.

A simple yet beautiful blanket made up of super cute hexagons for my younger brother, Georgie Porgie. Yes I have each motif labelled and alphabetised, how else was I supposed to keep track of them?!
They're made in James C Brett yarn and as soon as I have this blanket finished I will explain the colour arrangements (I had to make a tree diagram to work it out).

Aisling Blanket.

This is a sweet little baby blanket made for a woman on my course who will be having a baby very soon, the blanket is named after her. The pattern is PAM from the FRAN Mystery CAL, check out spincushions.com for more details. I love this yarn, it is James C Brett baby marble and IT LOOKS LIKE CANDYFLOSS!!!! Its so deliciously cute! Its really lovely to work with too!

Heqet Blanket

This blanket is ALSO made in James C Brett marble chunky. Why am I making so many projects in this yarn? I do not know but I am really enjoying it.

Heqet was an Egyptian goddess. She had a frog for a head. She was the goddess of fertility. Her followers who worked in her temples were known as the servants of heqet and they were midwives. I started this project just around the time I got accepted into my course. It is called heqet for that reason and also because this colour reminds me of swamps and marshes and frogs and fertile earth! Fitting right?!

Its a ridiculously simple pattern I made up myself, the most interesting part will probably be the crochet border that I am going to do but hey, I have to finish the main body of the blanket first!!

My final blanket I am going to keep secret because I am hoping to have it finished very soon and then I can do a huge ta-dah! moment!

I hope you enjoyed this quick rundown of everything I'm working on at the moment. I can't just work on one project at a time my brain is far to busy!

Anyways, enjoy your evening lovely people. xxx
