Et voila, the Winter Skies Blanket.
I can't concentrate these days. Not at all. Its especially bad during lectures. So, to solve this problem I have taken to crocheting during lectures. Usually granny squares because I can finish one during a two hour lecture and you just keep on making them until the project (usually a blanket) gets too large to be portable; by this I mean I need to join all the squares and do a border. And then I start another one!
This was a project borne out of necessity, I needed something to keep my hands busy. I chose a nice self striping yarn, which happened to be one I used previously for my February cowl. The yarn is Ella Rae Seasons, its nice and cheap and it was plentiful in my LYS!! Its AAAALLLL good!
The pattern is, once again my lovely solid granny square (see earlier blog post titled: Solid Granny Square). At full speed I can knock out one square in a two hour lecture. I used eleven balls for this blanket. Nine squares and a six row border.
The border is one row of trebles, three rows of *dc, ch1, dc, ch1*, one row of trebles and finally one row of solid doubles.
This blanket worked up so quickly! Like less than a month! And its so cozy and warm! <3
