Ta Dah!! The completed Scrap Yarn Blanket
At long last this blanket is finished!I started it in April of last year with the intention of giving it to my mother for Christmas, it was ready in time for her birthday, in March.
This was the handiest blanket for getting rid of all of my little scraps. I ordered my white yarn and both balls of gray from loveknitting.com. It was my first time ordering from them and it was super cheap and it arrived so quickly!
The pattern for this blanket is the same as the pattern in my previous post. http://theamazingjoysie.blogspot.ie/2017/02/getting-started-granny-square.html
Its one row of colour, one row of white, one row of pale gray and one row of darker gray. All joined together with a double crochet join. And then with a super simple border of a row of trebles followed by a row of doubles.
I must say it looks rather spectacular the way all the colours pop!
First I just did loads and loads of colour centres. I really mean loads.
And then once I had a huge bag of centres I made a start on the rest of the blanket.
It took me almost a whole year to finish, but safe to say it was worth it and my mother absolutely loves it.
